Escape to the dorset countryside this summer

This summer promises to be a busy one with Dorset looking forward to an extra swell of visitors thank to the continual rise in interest for holidaying at home combined with Olympic sailing events taking place in Weymouth and Portland. If you are looking for a peaceful location to enjoy your summer holiday away from the bustling crowds then we have plenty of properties to suit your requirements. Dorset is blessed with a variety of peaceful rural villages which are well suited to a slower type of holiday where you kick back and enjoy a truly relaxing experience.

Beaminster is one of Dorset’s lesser known rural gems, lying approximately 6.5 miles north of the town of Bridport and busy coastal area of West Bay. It is ideally placed away from the more popular tourist spots but close enough should you want spend time by the sea or visit one of Dorset’s historical towns. Beaminster is home to 2009 Masterchef winner Mat Follas’ restaurant ‘The Wild Garlic’ which is inspired by his love of and interest in foraged food.

We have three holiday cottages in Beaminster which are available for rental which benefit from no Olympic uplift in price for 2012:
