Try a Walk Along the Rodwell Trail in Weymouth

Here is Amy's (our Marketing an Accounts Assistant) walk. The Rodwell Trail is a walk and cycleway starting in the centre of Weymouth and ending at Ferrybridge. Once a railway, the Rodwell Trail is now enjoyed by locals and visitors who can admire the far reaching sea views and leafy walkway along the way. So, on my recent day off, I decided to take a picnic and walk along the Rodwell Trail with my fiance, as we hadnt done this in a long time. You can join the Rodwell Trail at different points along the route. We parked by Sandsfoot so we could wander around the lovely Sandsfoot Gardens and castle which dates from 1539, then walked The Rodwell Trail to Ferrybridge. It was a lovely sunny day so the views were absolutely stunning and very clear. Benches are placed along the trail where there are perfect views so you can sit and enjoy for a while. Once we got to Ferrybridge, we carried on walking over to Chesil Beach where we stopped to enjoy our picnic. It was a glorious July day and the afternoons walk really made me think WOW, what a stunning place I live in. If you are holidaying in Weymouth and fancy a walk to admire the views then the Rodwell Trail is one that has to be done.
